This past week has been one filled with midterms in my other classes, as such I have been working to balance studying for them, while also continuing to work on my capstone. I have been honored to have Dr. Linehan who is the director of the ATEC program, guiding me on my capstone work. With him I have been able to set milestones to meet, and have now mapped out the final two milestones to meet.
April 11th: This is when I expect to have all of the buildings done, after this I do not expect to work on any more modeling for the project unless it is absolutely necessary. After this the goal will be to unwrap and texture all of my assets. Because I started this project with transferring unwrap to save time, I believe that this will not take much more than a week at most.
The following two weeks I will be working on texture mapping including spec and bump. My original goal was to include normal mapping, but I believe that will take up too much time at the moment, and will hold it over for my summer refinements. Either way I recognize that this will be my crunch time.
May 2nd: This is the day everything is due, the project is finished, textured, and lit. At this point I will provide the final version to Dr. Linehan for his approval.
These are the two milestones I have left to meet, and with my tests out of the way. I believe I have a clear path to meet them before I shift my focus to finals in my other classes.
Expect more pictures from the final two buildings up within the next week or so.
